I am a Sociology PhD candidate at North Carolina State University. I teach and research in several  areas including: work and employment, international development, sociology of health and research methods. My research incorporates both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. My dissertation research focuses on how country level and household level factors relate to food insecurity in a multilevel framework.  I also strive for teaching excellence through continued engagement with educational research. I have incorporated inquiry-based learning into all of my courses.
